 Operating Procedures

  • We will always treat you with the upmost courtesy and respect. Please afford the same courtesy and respect to our staff. Rude and aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated.  

  • Table bookings can be made over the telephone during opening times 01263 512340 or via email to contact@hattersteashop.co.uk

  • We can only take bookings for parties from the same household up to 6 people. We cannot take bookings for larger parties spread across two or more tables.

  • In line with the most recent government directions face masks are to be worn at all times except when seated at your table. 

  • Please use the hand sanitiser provided upon entry.

  • You’ll be welcomed on arrival and directed to the next available table. We will be operating table service only

  • To help us comply with track and trace requirements we will ask customers to scan our QR code to register with track and trace. If you do not have the NHS Covid-19 App we will ask you to provide the full name and contact details of the lead member of your party. These details will be kept for 21 days, only used for track and trace purposes, after which they will be destroyed.      

  • We politely reserve the right to decline entry to the Tea Shop if we exceed capacity in line with government guidelines.

  • Children must stay at the table with you at all times… except when visiting the toilet and must be accompanied by an adult

  • Should you be worried at any time about social distancing, cleanliness or anything else please do let us know

  • All our staff will be fully trained in our latest Health & Safety measures and provided with personal protective equipment as required. 

  • Currently, we are asking for payment by card only if possible.
