About Us

Hatters Tea Shop has been a lifelong dream to open a unique tea shop on the North Norfolk Coast.

After years of searching for the perfect location, Woolwich House was discovered on a cold and wintry day in December 2017.

​

The amazing potential of this beautiful but tired Victorian building was instantly recognised. It has since been lovingly transformed, providing relaxing seating areas that include comfy sofas in our cosy corner for all to enjoy. We have disabled toilet facilities and a baby changing area. Well-behaved dogs are most welcome. We also have an outside seating area for warm and sunny days.

A Fresh Chapter - Summer 2026

As Hatters continues to grow, so does our vision for how we present ourselves to the community. In Summer 2026, we refreshed the exterior of Woolwich House and evolved the Hatters brand to reflect who we are today. The outside has been brightened and revitalised, bringing new life to the building while staying true to its Victorian charm. Our updated signage and branding introduce a more modern and welcoming feel, a gentle evolution that keeps Hatters familiar while giving it a fresh sense of character.
